The City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, may, as a part of a study session or regular or special City Council meeting, vote to hold a closed session to discuss issues listed in RSMo. Section 610.021, including but not limited to: legal actions, causes of legal action or litigation, leasing, purchasing or sale of real estate, hiring, firing, disciplining, personnel issues, or confidential or privileged communications with its attorneys.
CAPE ROAD & LANE CLOSURES – Kingsway and Lexington
Westbound Lexington Avenue will be CLOSED between Carolina Lane and Perryville Road starting Monday, Aug. 11.
Only eastbound traffic will be allowed through the work zone. Side streets entering onto Lexington in the work zone may only turn right to join eastbound traffic. These include Carolina, Grandview, David, Longview, Delwin, and Randol. Detours will be set up for westbound Lexington traffic turning south on Cape Rock and turning north on Perryville. A detour for southbound Perryville traffic will be set up to head east on Lexington and south on Cape Rock Drive. This Transportation Trust Fund project phase includes concrete and sidewalk repairs, curb and gutter improvements, and preparation for final asphalt overlay. Work will shift to eastbound lanes in the coming weeks.
Kingsway Drive will be closed at Kingshighway Aug. 12-19 for a culvert replacement as work continues along the state roadway. Questions? Call 1-888-ASK-MODOT (275-6636)
