Cape Girardeau entrepreneur Renate’ (ReNaTa) Cole, founder & CEO of Balm of Gilead Skincare Products, LLC, was recognized on the national stage as Chicago celebrated National Black Business Month this August. Renate’ selected as one of three women to be recognized for excellence in business by The 1st Annual ZITNALTA Studio CHI BLK BIZ Awards 2025.

Her line of natural, handcrafted skincare products is now featured in the ZITNALTA Buy Black Direct Mail Catalog, a powerful initiative connecting Black-owned businesses with shoppers across the U.S. The catalog’s purpose is to connect black small business owners with the masses of people looking to support black brands but don’t know how or where to ﬁnd them.
